Eligibility and Application Process

To be eligible for the UK Global Talent Visa, applicants need to demonstrate exceptional talent or promise in their respective field. The program is open to individuals who have already made significant contributions to their field (Exceptional Talent route) or individuals who show the potential to become future leaders (Exceptional Promise route).

Application Process

The application process consists of several stages:

1. Endorsement: Applicants must first obtain an endorsement from one of the endorsing bodies recognized by the UK government. These endorsing bodies include organizations such as Tech Nation, The Royal Society, The Royal Academy of Engineering, and Arts Council England, depending on the applicant's field. Each endorsing body has its own criteria for assessing talent and promise.
2. Visa Application: : Once endorsed, applicants can proceed with the visa application. They must provide supporting documents, including their endorsement letter, evidence of their achievements, qualifications, and a detailed plan of their work in the UK. They will also need to meet the English language requirement and show they can financially support themselves and any dependents.
3. Decision: The UK Home Office will review the application and make a decision. If approved, the applicant will be issued a Global Talent Visa.

3. Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR): After a specific period of time, usually five years for Exceptional Talent or three years for Exceptional Promise, visa holders can apply for ILR, which grants them permanent residency in the UK.
